What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember information between visits, measure how the site is used, and (with your consent) enable analytics and marketing features.

How We Use Cookies

Alehar uses a small number of cookies to make alehar.com work, understand how visitors interact with our content, and measure the impact of our marketing. We apply different defaults according to the visitor’s country. In the United States, India, Singapore, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, limited Google Analytics starts on the first page view. Google advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation, and Google Signals remain disabled in this default configuration. PostHog, session replay, Google Ads marketing features, Microsoft Clarity, and LinkedIn remain disabled until the visitor accepts the relevant category. Visitors elsewhere receive the consent-first setting. If we cannot determine the visitor’s country, we use the consent-first setting.

Your Choices

The privacy banner uses the same wording and controls in every region, while the starting state follows the regional rules described above. The controls work as follows:

  • Accept All enables the Analytics and Marketing categories, including Google Analytics, PostHog, masked session replay, Google Ads conversion and campaign measurement, Microsoft Clarity, and LinkedIn campaign measurement.
  • Reject All disables every optional Analytics and Marketing technology. In an opt-out region, this also stops limited Google Analytics and clears its cookies where technically possible.
  • Manage Preferences lets you control Analytics and Marketing separately.
  • If you make no selection in an opt-out region, limited Google Analytics remains active. If you make no selection in a consent-first region, all optional tracking remains disabled.

You can change your choice at any time through the Privacy Choices control in the site footer. A stored rejection overrides the regional default. We also honour supported Global Privacy Control signals by disabling optional analytics and marketing processing.

Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies (always active)

Essential for the site to function. They store your consent choice and enable secure form submission. They are set without consent because the site cannot operate without them, and they cannot be disabled through the banner.

  • cc_cookie (alehar.com, 6 months): records your consent preferences.

Analytics Cookies (regional consent or opt-out)

Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages people visit, where traffic comes from, and how the site performs. In the United States, India, Singapore, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, our limited configuration starts on the first page view. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation, and Google Signals remain disabled until the visitor accepts the Marketing category. In all other regions, Google Analytics starts only after the visitor accepts Analytics.

PostHog product analytics and masked session replay remain disabled everywhere until you accept the Analytics category. Form input values are masked before a replay leaves your browser.

  • _ga (alehar.com, 90 days): distinguishes pseudonymous visitors for Google Analytics.
  • _gid (alehar.com, 24 hours): distinguishes unique users on a daily basis.
  • ph_<project_key>_posthog (alehar.com, up to 1 year): stores a pseudonymous visitor identifier, session information, and PostHog consent state.

Marketing Cookies (consent required)

The Marketing category supports Google Ads conversion and campaign measurement, Microsoft Clarity session replays and heatmaps, and LinkedIn campaign measurement. These technologies are enabled only after you accept Marketing directly or select Accept All.

  • _clck (alehar.com, 1 year): Microsoft Clarity user identifier.
  • _clsk (alehar.com, 1 day): Microsoft Clarity session identifier.
  • bcookie, lidc, li_sugr, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory (linkedin.com, up to 1 year): LinkedIn Insight Tag identifiers and ad-targeting cookies.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also manage or block cookies entirely via your browser settings. Each browser provides its own controls. Note that disabling Strictly Necessary cookies will break parts of the site, including the consent banner itself.
