Alehar - Corporate Finance Advisory

Stay ahead of your covenants and your lender's questions

For owners who want their lenders to hear from them before they ask. Alehar runs your finance function, or extends the team you already have, month to month.

What we hear

Which of these sounds like your business?

Alehar prepares the reporting your lenders ask for, whether they are banks, private credit funds, venture debt providers or NBFCs. It tracks and forecasts your covenants, and gets you ready for annual reviews, renewals and new facilities. It is part of Corporate Finance as a Service, Alehar's monthly finance function.

01

“Our bank wants monthly figures, a forecast and our covenant numbers, and our team is stretched producing them.”

Usually starts with a new loan, the lender's annual review or a new relationship manager asking for more.

Alehar sets up the reporting your loan agreement asks for, in your lender's format and on its timetable, including management accounts, a cash forecast and the covenant calculations. Alehar reviews each pack with you before it goes out, so you know what your lender will see and what it is likely to ask.

02

“We're close to breaching a covenant, and I don't know what to tell our lender.”

Usually shows up as a covenant test approaches after a slower quarter, a large investment or a one-off loss.

Alehar works out where each covenant will land over the coming quarters and how much headroom is left. If a test looks tight, Alehar gives its view on the options, such as cutting costs, delaying spending or asking for a waiver, and you decide together how and when to approach your lender.

03

“Our facility is up for renewal, and we need a larger one to fund the next stage.”

Usually comes with a loan reaching the end of its term, growth plans, an acquisition or a large new contract.

Alehar builds the projections and the case for your lender, showing how much the business needs, how it will repay and how the covenants hold in a slower year. Alehar then works with you on what to ask for, which terms matter most and whether to stay with your lender or approach others.

The engagement

Why owners who borrow work with Alehar

A partner, a complete team, no lock-in, and support for the next raise or exit when it comes.

A partner who is accountable

One partner owns your finance function. They work alongside the people you already have, and take on what your team does not have the capacity or the experience to run.

A complete team, not a single hire

Behind the partner is a team from analyst to executive, drawn from private equity, investment banking and strategy consulting. Reporting, planning and transaction preparation are covered without adding headcount.

Month to month, without lock-in

The engagement runs monthly and can be ended at any time, without penalty. You pay for a senior finance function, not for the cost of building one.

The same partner for the raise or the sale

Alehar advises on fundraising, debt and M&A, and brings a network of venture, private equity and corporate investors. When the next step comes, the people who have run your numbers run the process.

How we work the lender problem

Report what lenders need, track the covenants, plan the next facility

  1. 1

    Report what your lenders need

Monthly or quarterly accounts, the cash outlook and the covenant figures, in the format and on the timetable each loan agreement sets. You see each pack before your lender does, with a short note from Alehar on what changed and why.

  2. 2

Track the covenants ahead of each test

Every covenant is calculated each month and forecast for the quarters ahead, with the headroom shown. If the headroom is shrinking, Alehar raises it early with a view on the options, and you decide together what to do and what to tell your lender.

  3. 3

Prepare for reviews, renewals and new facilities

For each annual review, renewal or new facility, Alehar prepares updated projections, the repayment plan and a slower-year test, and helps you decide how much to ask for and which terms matter. If you need other lenders, Alehar can support that through its Raising Equity or Debt service.
